Nintendo Wii Sells 800,000 in One Week!

untitled1

One has to wonder when it’s going to stop…
I bought my Wii last year right after Mario Galaxy launched and I had to go on a hunt worthy of Samus Aran and Lara Croft put together to find one.
A year later not much has changed, the console is still very hard to come by and over the Thanksgiving week end and Black Friday it has sold 800,000 units!

Analysts predict the unit will sell as much as 1.4 Million units in november adding up to about 37 Million units sold worldwide.

World of Warcraft Breaks Another Record

lich_king_by_ranemanBlizzard has always been an amazing company delivering quality title after quality title. Not even mentioning the great series like Diablo, WarCraft and StarCraft, games like The Lost Vikings and Blackthorne were great games in their own rights as well.

But then four years ago things changed, World of WarCraft came out and took the world by storm, I know, I barely slept for two weeks. The game now claims more than 11 million players! When The Burning Crusade came out it sold 2.4M copies on day one! And it’s happened again, The Wrath of the Lich King, which came out last week, sold 2.8M copies on its first day making it the top-selling PC title of 2008….in 24 hours.

Moral of the story? What is happening? “Succeeding you…father”!
